A simple guide for Choosing your perfect Wedding cake with Veganyumm

Wedding Cake Toppers | Deciding on your cake for big day is an important detail & you want to remember that the cake you bought looked and also tasted good! We have put together a guide to help you through the process.

1) We often get asked about sizing recommendations & How many tiers is the right amount for your big day. A great starting point is knowing how many guests will be attending & if you intend to serve Dessert portions or coffee portions.

Dessert portions are bigger (2 inch by 1 inch) and are usually accompanied by ice cream/whipped cream and sometimes fruit. Coffee portions are smaller (1 inch by 1 inch) and as the name goes, they are usually accompanied by tea & coffee and are not the main dessert of the event. 

Here is a size recommendation from us for our cakes at Veganyumm. Please note that we recommend in dessert portions. 

12 Dessert serves - 6 inch cake

26 Dessert Serves- 8 inch cake

40 Dessert Serves-10 inch cake

18 Dessert serves- Tall 6 inch cake

40 Dessert serves- Tall 8 inch cake

2 tier cakes :

40  Dessert serves- 6" +8" cake

60 dessert serves- Tall 6" + 8" cake

70 dessert serves- 8"+10"

3 tier cakes :

100 dessert serves- 6"+8"+10"

120 dessert serves- Tall 6"+ Tall 8 inch + 10 inch 

2) Now to chose the flavour!

This is an exciting part of your wedding planning, No better job than having to try different flavours of cake! This can turn into a fun cake & Tea occasion with your partner or your Friends and family. We offer tasting boxes with 6 preset flavours. (2 different boxes available)

How does your dream cake look?

Veganyumm specialises in Buttercream styles. Do you like a full icing coverage or the Naked frosted look?

We make macarons, meringues, offer florals, fruit, Nut brittles & drips on our cakes. 

When it comes to choosing flowers, remember that seasonal availability is also something to factor, and we will check with our local flower shops ahead of time for you. There is also the option to ask you florist to provide flowers. 

      

 4) Did you want Veganyumm to deliver your cake for you?

We deliver in and around Brisbane, however do enquire with us about travelling further, We travel in a refrigerated and arrive early to ensure we have ample time for safe delivery.
